ההודעה לעתונות (שנמצאת בעמוד הכתבה) מפרטת הרבה שיפורים, כמעט 20. ויש לצפות שישנם אחרים. אבל השיפור המשמעותי ביותר עבורי לא הגיע: תמיכה בשפות עם CHARACTER SET לא לטיני..... לפחות ההודעה לעתונות אינה נוגעת בנושא הזה. חבל!

You liked the new features in A6.Times 1.1 beta? Then get your Windows Mobile device ready for download! A6.Times 1.1 is now available for the Pocket PC and the Smartphone platforms. Discover an RSS reader like you've never seen before.
Here's a list a new features/fixes found in this new version:
- New application icon. Supports the following resolutions: 16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 22x22, 44x44.
- Complete menu reorganization.
- Folder "ImportExport" has been replaced by "My Documents" as recommended in Microsoft guidelines (Smartphone only).
- Sections images have been moved where the database is installed.
- Installer size has been reduced by 50%.
- Preconfigured news sources cannot no longer be moved. However, any custom news source can be moved.
- A6.Times now fully supports the WM_HIBERNATE message. When the operating system requires more memory, it sends to all opened applications the WM_HIBERNATE message. This message means something like: “Give me all resources you can or I will close you if I cannot get enough”.
- Database robustness: The database engine has been completely reviewed in order to eradicate occasional data corruption.
- News engine use of threads has been improved.
- A Start Wizard takes care of the starting process.
- New parameter "Options / Connection / Allow Automatic Connections". When unchecked, no communications are established without user intervention.
- New choices for font size: Smallest, Smaller, Normal, Bigger, Biggest.
- The refresh interval can now be set independently for each news source. Can be set between 1 and 999 minutes.
- New option "Options / Presentation / Merge Section Headlines". When checked, regroup headlines of all news sources at the beginning of their section.
- New option "Options / Presentation / Show News Authors". When checked, news authors are displayed in news (if available).
- It is now possible to mark an entire section, news source or single news as read (available from Options and context menu).
- It is now possible to refresh a specific section or a specific news source (available from Options and context menu).
- When ActiveSync communication is established, A6.Times automatically starts refreshing the newspaper.
- A6.Times regularly gets updated with new sections/news sources from the Alien6 server. It can also receive various messages like product updates, etc.
- On the Front page you can now see the news' source.
- It is now possible to zoom on an image in a news. Tap on it or simply select it and press the select button.
- The global refresh parameter is replaced by the Refresh Interval parameter in each news source.
- Wait cursor removed during database initialization.
- Startup on full screen mode was not using maximum space available.
- Proxy connection settings were not used correctly. Can be set via Options/Connection.
- OPML import failed on some files due to encoding.
- News sources refresh interval was not accurate.
- Various small bug fixes with the news engine were fixed.
- Sometimes read news were marked back as unread after a refresh.
- Better VGA support.
